Mural Mice are a team of artists specializing in community developed public art. Having recently moved to Eugene from Arizona, the Mice are looking forward to painting several outdoor murals around Eugene in 2024. Ms Andrea is a teaching artist through Lane Arts Council and Oak Hill School in medias like ceramics, wire sculpture, and drawing/design. “I teach because arts engagement is crucial for children’s development. Melanie Hamilton is a visual artist exploring women's roles, narratives, and experiences. In her drawings, paintings, and sculptures, ancient and contemporary symbolism and female forms converge in real and imagined landscapes. She offers classes and workshops at Studio House, her studio—providing space, instruction, and materials for individuals and groups to foster creativity, embodiment, playfulness, and meaning-making. Marie McMahon is an artist who specializes in doing commissioned paintings for her local community. Her subject matter includes pets, people, homes, and landscapes. She utilizes an intuitive painting process that evokes the beauty and spirit of her subject. Lael Salaets is a realist, impressionist, and pop artist who works primarily in graphite and colored pencil. He studied fine art and design at the University of Oregon and Lane Community College, where he received an AAS in graphic design. He is a member of Maude Kerns Art Center of Eugene and the Oregon Society of Artists based in Portland.
