Club Macchia is an art group consisting of Jerry Ross, founder and instructor, and oil painting students. The group is dedicated to teaching/learning the style Jerry calls "American verismo" which studies plein air (all'aperto) painting using the ideas of the Macchiaioli group of painters from Tuscany circa 1860s. We are open to new students interested in learning this approach. We typically meet outside locally every other Sunday. We have had several group exhibits with more planned.
