Girl Circus

Founded in 2001, Girl Circus has brought together female circus performers, amateur and professional, ages 5-75 to train, mentor and create shows with original music, scripts and choreography. Our mission is to create theater that is non-objectifying, inspiring and community strengthening. For 21 years, Girl Circus shows have attracted thousands of viewers. We offer summer camps in rural counties in Oregon and Washington to provide arts enrichment outreach to girls.

Fernland Studios is reimagining environmentalism through art and education. Our mission is to provide Black, Indigenous, and people of color opportunities to explore environmentalism through artist residencies, educational retreats, and writing workshops. Our vision is to reimagine how we work within environmentalism, provide space for people to express themselves through art, aid in developing rejuvenating and reciprocal relationships, and foster placemaking for communities of color in the Pacific Northwest.

Charly Swing is a creative instigator, culture producer, and social sculptor. She founded ArtCity upon her return to Eugene from New York where she earned her MFA and wrote a manifesto for the importance of art and artists, by theorizing the activation of quantum mechanics and the infinite potential to elevate the collective human experience through creativity. Artist Rick Lowe, the Creative Time organization, community, and the imminent challenges of our times inspire Charly’s work.
