As a dedicated guitarist, composer and performer, I enjoy sharing a passion for the instrument and its unexplored possibilities. Honoring the traditions of music from Hawaii (my birthplace) and Africa in performance and recording, inspiration led to collaborations with many wonderful Zimbabwean musicians, including touring and recording with Thomas Mapfumo. One unique aspect of my guitar work is pulling many sounds from solo guitar, at times sounding like multiple instruments. My music touches the heart and the mind, energizing a belief in the power of positive musical communication. I perform Hawaiian Slack Key, originals, solo Swing, Debussy on guitar, and Zimbabwean music.

We are Los Cumbiamberos. We play Cumbia and tropical rhythms from Colombia and Mexico. We play as a trio or full group. Our music is unique and fun and includes the accordion.
